Apologies for breaking a segment of the 30ft rocket recovery pole (it's still usable as a 20ft pole I think) - I've ordered the identical model and it will be here this week. I'll prioritize getting to the next launch to get it into the trailer. My rocket was recovered with a repairable zipper - Thank you Guy for having the pole there. I hope that there weren't others impacted who I denied to opportunity to use the pole.
I have a similar 30ft aluminum utility from Home Depot that I've used a few times to recover rockets and haven't had a section snap - although today with the wind maybe I torqued it unknowingly and weekend the section - when it snapped I already had the rocket free and was lowering it to the ground (the pole didn't seem particularly stressed at the time).
