Hello,

CMASS has a collection of metal launch pads and blast deflectors custom constructed from iron pipe and metal stock. These are now in need of maintenance and repair, and I don't have the tooling to weld and to cut various tapered pipe threads.

If you have any of these skills / tools...

welding, sandblast, thread tapered pipe and fittings, or fabricate metal parts

... please reply or send me an IM. At this point we have no spares in service, and there are some parts missing from our HPR pad for the 15x15 rail. We need to get some fixes in before 26-Sep-2015.

Thanks, -Alan

Some of the MMMSC pads also need similar maintenance as well.

I don't know how to weld but I do know how to thread pipe. Does the club have a pipe threading kit? if not, does it have the money to purchase one? If so I'll do the pipe threading.

Thanks for replying, will keep you posted. I am not aware of any tooling available yet, which is why the post, looking for someone who already has the required equipment. Trying not to spend money if the tooling is already out there, and we just need to locate it. -Alan

I spoke with Jim Moe today. As a plumber, he has the tools and skills to cut and thread the iron pipe we use for the pads and would be happy to do this for the club.

He has experience with stick welding but doesn't have the equipment for this.
