This weekend's launch at Amesbury has been registered with the NAR as an NRC event. Given the expected winds and suggested altitude ceiling, the weather does not align with some the events. B Altitude is probably a no-go as is A PD.
Thanks for registering this launch for us Stephen.
I will be the Contest Director for this launch. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
As usual, we will need people to help out with timing for the duration events, please help if you can.
I was thinking I'd send up one or two "feeler" flights before I make my call, at least. I was hoping to fly those two categories since I didn't last time because of the wind.
But I do have something for 1/4A SD.
Just checked AccuWeather, straight easterly tomorrow, gusting up to 22moh. And the power lines are around 1000' due west of the launch area. Not a lot of wiggle room. We'll have to do some creative flying tomorrow.
Planning to. I may or may not have a couple of new rockets for B Altitude. But I'm behind the eight ball on coming up with lights for the night launch.
I'm a bit burnt out on building right now, after having cranked out a bunch of rockets over the summer. And NRC has been a distraction from my regular builds, but not an unwelcome one.
At the very least I'll probably put a new shock cord in that Comet Chaser and try it on a B6-6 like you recommended.
Are you planning to be there?
