I downloaded the 2024 ARC info and started to read through this year's rules. Highlights are:
  • 820 ft target altitude (800 ft and 850 ft at the finals)
  • 43-46 second duration
  • Allowed Altimeters are Perfectflite Pnut or Firefly, Jolly Logic Altimeter one or Altimeter two
  • One egg
  • Airframe must use 2 different diameter tubes, each no less than 150mm (6 inches) long
  • Upper tube diameter no greater than 57mm (2.25 inches)
  • Lower tube diameter no less than 63.5mm (2.50 inches)
  • All parts other than recovery wadding must return as one connected/tethered unit
  • Total length no less than 650mm (25.6 inches)
  • Max gross liftoff weight not to exceed 650 grams
  • Egg and Altimeter may reside anywhere in the rocket
  • Recovery by parachute
Should be fun!
