Launch Status

This thread will be used to report the status of the next upcoming launch. 
Any replies or comments will be deleted after each launch.

Our next launch is scheduled for 11 May in Acton. As always, Acton is a small field so there will be no high-power flying.

Please find some way to help out either by setting up, tearing down or signing up for a volunteer slot for LCO, Safety Check or Food Service. The more people who help, the smoother things run and the more fun everyone can have.

If you want to learn how to do any of the volunteer tasks, just ask and you can shadow someone while they do it; we're always glad to train.

We're five days out from the scheduled launch in Acton on 11 May. The extended forecast doesn't look promising. I'll review later in the week before making a GO/NO GO decision but I wanted to prepare everyone for the possibility we may have to scrub.

Just so you know, there are no open days on the Acton School Street field between now and October; rescheduling is not an option.

Four days out and the forecast has improved. The wind is predicted to be blowing toward the trees so low flights are recommended. 
The forecast may shift again so stay tuned.

Of course, as the Launch Duty sign-up page is pretty empty, it looks like people aren't interested in flying.
