Atkinson NH Cub Scout Den 95 attended a build session in late March and a held a launch on 16 April 2023. The build included Estes model Alpha, Viking and Generic (plastic fin can). All launches were drag race from 4 low power pads set-up in a bull pen with barrier tape. Four adult scout leaders loaded the pads and the scouts did a group count down to launch with 4 scouts pushing the buttons. There were about 60 flights on mostly A and B motors, and a couple C motors. There was one A motor CATO blown nozzle brought forward and we filed a MESS report. The launch proceeded very smoothly thanks to the organization provided by the adult scout leaders with only a few lawn darts. Photos in the gallery.
