NAR Website changing - Please read was created by KennB
This is a message that has been sent out by NAR. Please read it and be sure to look for the email to help you set up your profile when the migration is done.

Please read this entire message!  A few minutes of your time reviewing the information in this month's column will help you and us with the upcoming conversion of our website and member database.

NAR Website and Member Database Conversion: After many weeks of planning and behind the scenes work by our staff and key volunteers, we are ready to flip the switch. Here is what you need to know:

Friday December 6 at 1200 (noon) central time, we will be taking our NEON member database offline. Once offline, you will not be able to log in to do any member services like renew a membership or modify anything in your profile. The NAR website will stay online until the day we make the change from the old to the new site.

December 13 (estimated) - After we get data from NEON loaded into the new Club Express system, test the data in the new system, and change the existing NAR website to the new site on Club Express, we will give Club Express instruction to bring up the new system live. At this time, Club Express will send out an email to each active member with instructions on how to log into the new system and complete your member profile.

Please note – set your email application to allow for emails from Club Express. Check for the email in spam or junk folders if you don't receive an email from Club Express by December 15.

Also note – you must go into your member profile to verify/set-up a username and permanent password, add credit card data for autorenewals (no credit card info will be transferred from the old to the new system).

After you receive the email from Club Express – Follow the instructions in the email to log in and set up your profile. If you don't receive the email, go to our This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it./" target="_blank" rel="noopener">help email for members. There is a short (approx. 17 minute)  video  with its link available in the upper right corner of your profile and linked  here  that will help you understand the member profile information and capabilities.  Note, you can use the "Username and Password" section of the profile to change your User Name and Password. You can use an email address for your username if desired.

Changing your credit card info – once in your profile, look for "More Member Options" and then under this heading is a link for "Credit Card.

Please be patient with us – we have over 9,000 active members and will get to each of your issues as quickly as possible. There is a Report an Issue link for member issues and website issues at the bottom of the home page.

Section Renewals – we have pushed section renewals to January 1, 2025 to allow us to get membership issues worked out initially.

After logging onto the new NAR website and poking around a bit, I looked at the info on CMASS and realized the Club Membership affiliation was not ported over from the previous NAR site. It looks like there are only two CMASS members :).

- so - after you set up your account info on the new NAR website, please associate CMASS with your membership.

To do this, click on your Name in the upper right of the NAR website and select Profile.
In the More Member Options panel on the lower left you will see an option for "Clubs/Additional Members".
From there you will be able to "Add a Club" and select CMASS.

Thanks!!

Here are some images that might help:

After clicking on your Profile (Your name in the upper right corner) and then Profile, you should see the following:

Then after clicking on Clubs / Additional Members you should be able to see the screen when you can select CMASS:

One thing you might notice is that the "join date" on your profile page will likely be wrong... I believe the date that got filled in is the date of your most recent renewal... I know I joined NAR in 2017 yet my join date shows as 2021 since when the website went live, that was the last time I renewed my current membership. I notified the folks at NAR about this (I know that YOU joined NAR way before 2024, Howard!).

Be sure to notify NAR of any oddities or quirks you might find!
