Anticipating the maintenance we need to do in and on the club trailer, who here has some experience in prepping and painting steel? The frame around the rear doors of the trailer are starting to show some rusty patches through the paint and the wheels that Guy cleaned and painted just a few years ago are showing some signs of corrosion. If anyone has the proper tools and knowledge, please let us know. It would be great if you could attend the session but good advice would be appreciated, too.
With no launches scheduled for May or June, we've got some time to get this work done along with the usual equipment work and putting new stickers on the trailer.
We haven't picked a date or location yet but are looking for input.
To add, I have the remaining can of white oil paint used on the wheels, and a new quart can of semi-gloss black oil paint for the frame/doors, plus 3/4 gallon of paint thinner and 3 paint brushes. Also a hand drill with wire brush wheels, sandpaper flapper wheel, and a couple of hand held wire brushes.
