I started working up an adapter kit to provide lighting for night launch:
- 4 or 12 inch LED strip

- Adapter connector
- DC to DC converter (from Amazon,
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L64GJ42/ref...00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, many similar ones out there)
- 2S Lipo battery (nominally 7.5-8.6 volts)[/li]
So the DC to DC converter steps the LiPo up to 12 V.
A 12 inch LED strip is 3.5watts
Maybe mount this in a section of clear payload tube.
What do you guys think?
The blue strip is what I had laying around. I ordered some white ones.
This would look cook down the side of the rocket.
There are many LED strips out there. They are hard to solder onto, so the connector that goes with your particular flavor is recommended.
