Recommended family launch sites?

Hello, all. My kids are getting old enough to reawaken my childhood interest in model rocketry. I've just joined CMASS, but given that all formal events seem to be on hold, I'm wondering if the good folks here could recommend places for family rocket launches -- we'd be using nothing bigger than a C motor. We live in Somerville, where I'm told we'd have to get a group permit to launch on the local fields, so I'm assuming we'll need to go further afield.

It's been 30+ years since I last flew, and that was in small-town Colorado, so I'm pretty thoroughly unfamiliar with where makes sense in Massachusetts. I would be very grateful for any and all advice!

Check out the "Bandits strike again" thread in the forum. During the week there *usually* is not much going on at the Acton school street soccer field. Now that were in Phase 3, the weekends will have far more people.

Every Saturday and Sunday, a cricket league has the field from around 8:30 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM. That's why we launch either on week days or early evenings on a weekend.

CMASS may conduct a scheduled launch on August 8th. Watch the web site for updates.
