Contestants don't have to sign up. We are still flexible as how we are going to conduct the competition therefore, any and all suggestions are welcome. We had a test contest two weeks ago just to get some ideas on how to proceed. What we learned is that we need a larger target zone because only one person landed in it.
At this point we will setup a larger target area. Even if a Scout does not land in the circle they can still request a measurement. The way it works is the closest to the flag gets first pick of the available prizes followed by second and third. The contest officials will be wearing yellow or orange vests. Scouts can fly their rockets, do their best and hopefully their rocket will have a successful landing close to the flag.
The objective of the contest is to acknowledge the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 and most of all, to have fun.
