Yesterday I went to the field at the nearby high school (newton north) and had a handful of A and B launches.
Who needs composites?
I have a lot of fun with the small motors and most of the rockets don't go too far away!
Although, I nearly lost an Estes Fletcher with an A motor!
When I met Vern Estes at the NSL I told him that the day I had a success level 2 certification flight I also flew a rocket on an A8-3. He found that interesting and well as amusing. I fly a fair amount of composites and an occasional high power motor. The majority of my flights are powered by black powder motors. I can have just as much fun flying low power as well as mid and high power.
