Acton School Street not available

Don't carve your summer plans in stone just yet. Our traditional Acton launch site, the School Street soccer fields will be infested every Saturday and Sunday this summer with cricket(eer)s. We'll be discussing alternatives at the next meeting. Pencil in the dates but the location will be different.

There's no standing contract so no reneging. They did beat us to the park/rec office but if they are going to use it every weekend day, being there first may not have ensured we could have held our dates.

We are looking to contact the cricketeers to see if there is some compromise that can be worked out. No guarantees but maybe they have built in make-up days for weather postponements that they may be able to cede to us if they get good weather on their primary days. Or, maybe they use it for a few hours early or late in the day and we could have it for some period of time (although, regular cricket matches go on for days so that may not be a bright spot).
