TARC 2018 Launches was created by KennB
We have two limited launches coming up on 17 and 31 March for TARC practice and qualifying attempts.

These are not open club launches; they are meant only for TARC teams and possibly SLI teams if we can accommodate them. We do want to be sure to have enough volunteers at the field to provide all the services our club is well known for:
  • hefting of launch equipment out to the launch area (if we can't drive the trailer out there) and setting up the pads and controller
  • timing and certification of results for qualifying flights
  • all around source of last minute knowledge
As a minimum, it would be nice to have six people but more is always better. Witnesses and timers should be active NAR members but non-NAR members can help with the other tasks including launching. If you can help on one or both dates or have any questions, please reply on this thread.

If you are on a TARC team that needs to use our services, let us know here, too.

Also, for those not familiar with CMASS TARC launches, they are in Amesbury and run from Noon to 4pm. It is a fun time, and a great chance to pay it forward.

If you are a mentor or member of a TARC team that is planning on flying with CMASS on the 17th or 31st, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let me know your contact information. Amesbury has taken quite a hit of snow this week and the field may not be accessible. If we have to delay or reschedule any of the proposed launches, I'd like to have a way to directly contact the teams involved so information can flow in a timely manner.

If the field is in good enough shape and accessible for Saturday, the CMASS trailer and my truck have both been freed from yesterday's snow and are ready to make the trek to Amesbury. Batteries are charging as well.

Guy.
