I have RC Airplanes in my brain,...

and I am looking for a mentor. We have joined AMA and are currently practicing with a DX6i and Phoenix 5.0 software. My short term goals are to spend some time with a foam elec glider this spring/summer,.. and contact a local club near Ipswich, MA. I have a 40 class balsa nitro trainer that I am re-covering and will eventually need help with dialing in the control rods and servos. If this sounds like fun,.. please PM me. Thanks, Dominic.

Since you have just joined AMA, I am curious about how high the member numbers are now.
I joined in about 1971 and have a 5 digit number 46042.
I haven't been actively flying RC for some time now and when I stopped, electric power was just in it's infancy.
Good luck with your glider. For some reason, I always found gliders harder to fly than powered aircraft.

The AMA is currently celebrating their 80th year,.. and my number is close to 1,100,000. I would assume the number is cumulative and not an accurate measure of active members.
