Thanks for a great season,...

This is our third season flying and I wanted to express how thankful we are to fly with such a great group. I am continually impressed and inspired by what fellow club members are doing and creating. Having rocketry in our life,.. and on our kitchen table,.. gives us a common bond unlike any other. Thank you every one for making this possible. Have a safe and happy holiday season. Dominic.

I have an IMAX balance charger.

As disappointed as some of us were that we had to hold off on HP and anything over 1,000 feet, i agree with the decision.
The field is just as important to people that fly A8-3s as it is to us that fly high power. We are one rocket in the power lines away from losing the field.

That battery pack would be excellent for a launch system. I am using a larger version of a similar Turnigy LiPo battery in my cluster box - 4s 5000mAh. Mine will deliver 100A at 12V and is still going strong 5 years later. Only needs one or two charges a year.

I also agree that it was a wise call to limit HP and high fliers due to wind direction / power lines. I would liked to have had a chance to launch my new HP project, but nobody would ever want to be the flier that ends up jeopardizing access to a field for the club.
