CMASS had a triumphant return to the School Street Fields in Acton with 137 total launches ranging from MicroMaxx to F-impulse. Scott Clement celebrated summer with a new odd-roc; The Corn Cob. It flew nicely and let the LCO make lots of bad puns. Joe Lemanski walked us through part of the US manned space program launching a Mercury Redstone, a Gemini Titan and a Saturn 1B and added a Little Joe II just for show. Let’s see how many Saturn V launches we get at our next Acton event on 20 July.

Check the forum to find out how to participate in the “Land the Eagle” contest NAR is recommending.

There was a heat advisory that day so we ended operations a little early. Sunscreen and hydration is very important at every event but especially in the summer months.

Thanks go out to Todd Lainhart, Daniel Petrie, Howard Greenblatt, Matt and Carmine Laudato and Linda DeAngelo for volunteering at Safety Check, Launch Control and Food Service. Many hands make work light so do your part and volunteer to make it a better day for everyone.
